So I saw that this weeks challenge was Over My Head and this was the first picture that came to my mind! I had so much fun during this session! Her husband is a pilot so what better way to take bridal portraits!!

Sarah and Mark are about to walk down the aisle and finally say “I Do”! It has been a long time coming for these two. Once high school sweethearts, went their separate ways then found each other again. These two are truly soul mates!! I had the pleasure of going to Houston to shoot Sarah’s bridals in January. It has been so hard not to post these images, as I have fell in love with them! See her bouquet…that was made by me! I never thought I would be making a bouquet!! Watch out florist!! *Just kidding* I am so not the person for that job!! We shot these at an Episcopal Church that was breathtaking! Beautiful for bridal portraits!!

WOW!!! That was fun! Chris and I are beat but we had fun meeting all these new brides!! We really had an amazing booth so we know that helped!! I won a booth design for Wed Designs and they really designed us a great booth. With the help and my talented father, he took this design and constructed the booth with some minor twist! My dad is an phenomenal contractor and puts so much heart into everything he builds. So a big THANKS to the designers and my daddy!! We donated a door prize that was given away during the fashion show and also a giveaway at our booth. So a big congratulations goes to Kristin Smith who is getting married this September. She was the lucky winner of our drawing!!

Thanks to all the brides that came out and helped raise over $800 for a medical scholarship!!

Jen and Barry will be exchanging vows today!! Here are a few of Jen during her bridal session. She is going to be beautiful today!!

Heather and Steve have been so much fun to work with! Heather was VERY organized so everything went well. I’ve been to my fair share of weddings and this was one of the most fun receptions I have witnessed! Lots of thanks to James Hinds who is an awesome DJ! He had everyone on the dance floor and made the reception fantastic!!

So out of all the groom’s cakes…This one is AWESOME! Steve is a pilot so they had paper airplanes thrown at them during their exit. How neat is that??

Sorry Ann, I had to include this one. I’m telling you it was such a fun reception so Evan picked up his mom during a dance. It was great seeing her expression!!

LOVE this shot. Rings are all so unique to each couple and I just love the “L” in focus.

What a great wedding!! I know Chris and I had lots of fun. I hope you two are enjoying your honeymoon in Florida! Hopefully no run-ins with the police!!

I almost forgot…I can FINALLY post Heather’s bridals. This was the shot of the day! This was such a fun shoot. How many people can say they had a plane flying over them?? LOVE IT!!!

I was able to take a vacation at the end of June which was much needed!! I haven’t been on a vacation in 3 years so it was about time. I got back late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning I started back to work!

I shot Angela’s bridals at the Arboretum. She is absolutely gorgeous. Her dress is amazing and beautiful. Angela had a rough week the past week losing a loved one. My thoughts and prayers are with her, Jennifer,Collin and the rest of the family. Life is too short so treasure your family and loved ones.

I then got to meet Carolynn and her husband. They a celebrating their one year anniversary on July 8th. She put her dress back on and he put on his suit. We captured several pictures of the two of them at the beautiful Arboretum. Carolynn said she didn’t have many pictures of them outdoors so Chris and I helped her out with that. Happy Anniversary you two!!

Amber and Josh are getting married later this month so we had to get their engagements done! Chris and I captured some great shots and enjoyed the new setting of Paris, Texas. We are looking forward to your wedding!!!

I’m shooting another engagement session tomorrow night and I’m looking forward to that one. July is a busy month with a 4 weddings so I’m going to be busy-busy!!

Melissa looks like a Barbie Doll in her wedding dress! She is gorgeous!! She has so many wonderful pictures to choose from. We went to the Arboretum and had a fun day yesterday even though it was H-O-T! Melissa’s sister and mother came along to help out and it was fun getting ideas from Kathy! I am so excited to capture Melissa & Eric’s wedding in July. By the way…Happy Birthday (yesterday) Eric!

As much as it’s been raining, Amber and I had been worried about the weather for this day. Well, it turned out to be a beautiful day to take bridals portraits. We get to the Dallas Arboretum and there is about 20 school buses there full of young children. It was field trip day at the Arboretum. As we started trying to make our way to the first stop, Amber became a celebrity. All the little girls were yelling at her, telling her how pretty she looked. She was told she looked like a princess over and over. One little girl even told her that her shoes didn’t go with her dress! You got to love getting fashion advice from a 7 year old!! Amber was also proposed to by a few of the young boys! They were trying hard but she told them that she was already marrying someone else. I’m sure they went home with a broken heart! All in all it turned out to be a great shoot despite all the kiddos running around almost stepping on Amber’s dress and trying to get in my shots!!

I met Claire and her mom at the Arboretum today for Claire’s bridals. It was such a beautiful day so EVERYONE was there! Claire picked this day about 6 or 7 months ago. I told her she did a good job of predicting perfect weather!! Her pictures turned out so amazing!! It was so hard to choose my favorite but I think I did. Of course I can’t display it until after May 30th!! I’m looking forward to meeting DJ and taking their wedding photos!!

Melinda’s pictures were taken at the Arboretum as well. It was such a beautiful day to shoot pictures. She is getting married at the end of April so her pictures can’t be shown either!! We had lots of fun and lots of laughs. We got some really great shots and I will post them when I can. I know Jim would love to take a peek but we won’t let him!!!
